Triage Report

 

 

Upstate Cardiology is unique in the fact that it offers Triage for its patients. Triage happens when a patient calls the office seeking medical advice. Trained staff and physicians assess the patient’s condition over the phone and navigate them to the most appropriate care center. Each week I would receive documentation on the number of calls received and nature of each inquiry. It was my responsibility to organize the calls by each physician and file them into their seven respective categories. This report aims to document the how effective the triage program is at keeping people out of the costly hospital system, tabulate the number of calls received each day, and track the call distribution amongst the practice’s physicians.
